Aromatherapy, also referred to as ‘Essential oil therapy’, can be defined as the art and science of utilising naturally extracted aromatic essences from plants to balance, harmonize and promote the health of body, mind and spirit. Its aim is to unify physiological, psychological and spiritual processes to enhance an individual’s unique healing process.

The word “Aromatherapie” means the therapeutic application or the medicinal use of aromatic substances (essential oils) for holistic healing. As the practice of aromatherapy has progressed over the years, it has adopted a more holistic approach encompassing the whole body, mind and spirit.

Aromatherapy is a caring, hands-on therapy which seeks to induce relaxation, to increase energy, to reduce the effects of stress and to restore lost balance to mind, body and soul.
– Robert Tisserand

An aromatherapy massage is a gentle, effective way to stimulate the body’s ability to relax and absorb the beneficial properties of the oils through the blood stream whilst inhaling the essence at the same time.

Oils are chosen to address the mental, physical and spiritual place that the client is in at the current time.

Essential oils are used to help restore balance and harmony between mind, body and spirit, reduce stress & tension and improve general wellbeing. Following your consultation, a personal selection of pure essential oils are blended for your individual needs and then massaged into the body using a combination of gentle movements for a deeply relaxing treatment.
